Disney

I went to Disneyland as a (sort of) grown-up, and it really is the happiest place: the Disney Princesses sign autographs, everything is Mickey shaped, and the fireworks are beyond awesome!

"If you can dream it, you can do it."
Walt Disney.

Going to Disneyland should be a birthright. Every kid (and ex-kid!) should get to see Walt Disney's dream come true. This is the world that's possible!

So... have you been? Do you want to?

Keep kicking ass!

  1. I live about 15 minutes from the original Disneyland in Anaheim. Haven't been to the Magic Kingdom in nearly 20 years--it's so expensive and crowded. Seems like you spend half your day waiting in lines.

Went to Disney's California Adventure about 10 years ago. It was okay--not as nice as the Magic Kingdom--but ditto for what I said about Disneyland above.

I don't see how people can afford to go to the place. But it is a great place to go aside from that.

Contrary to my usual practice of subscribing to comments, to save time during challenge I will not be doing so during April. If you want to respond to my comment , please email me directly from your email notification for the comment.
    Thanks.

  2. Hi, A-Z challenge bud. I'm a follower now. Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Oh, BTW, I use to work for Mickey. :)

  3. I watched Meet the Robinson's last week with my kids (I highly recommend it), and it ends with a Disney quote. I grew up in GA, so I've been to Disney a few times. I visited the CA one in high school. It's been a long time.

  4. @Ciara – oooh, let me guess – you were one of the Disney Princesses, right? They have the BEST hair :)

@Arlee – I always wondered if the people who live near Disneyland are driven crazy by the nightly fireworks!

The queues are definitely an issue – and Disney have something called a “Fast Pass” that can cut your waiting time way down :)

And the cost? I say one free entry for every child born! :)

@KO – I LOVE Meet the Robinsons (the title doesn’t do it justice!) The whole make-a-difference-in-someone’s-life angle really gets me :) Plus the T-Rex? And the Tom Selleck? Brilliant :)

  6. Disney is my *favorite* place to go. My husband actually tells me it's "My happy place." He says he enjoys it just watching me have fun, like a six year old.

  7. @Regina - I think the only thing better than going to Disneyland as a kid, would be taking your own kids :) I hope you took heaps of photos!

@Kari - Oh that is soooo cool :) Everyone needs a happy place!
