My father was a lefty. Surprises me that everybody says something so banal, but maybe it shouldn't.
My favorite fictional lefty would have to be Eric Chant of the Diana Wynne Jones Chrestomanci books.

My husband and one of my best friends are both lefties. We have to be careful about seating when we go to restaurants, or else we're always bumping elbows. Secretly, I've always wished I was a lefty.
@Lisa - Sooo true! No wonder lefties die sooner - constant hazards!! (And I say, with a left handed husband and best friend? Consider yourself an honorary lefty!)
